Sunday, June 9 from 12:00p-3:00p instruction

Join guest instructor Laura Dobratz as she helps you master each of the many delightful details of her newest shawl, Sun Shower Happy Hour (releasing in late May/ early June). She’ll also help with size customization and yarn choices. Together we will swatch each of the texture stitches. Even if you don’t intend on knitting the shawl you’ll learn quite a few new stitches and loads of tips and tricks along the way. Get ready for an enjoyable summer knitting project!

What is Sun Shower Happy Hour? A brand-new shawl coming out this summer. Just like its name, Sun Shower Happy Hour is going to be a fun knit! It features abundant textures and delightful details and a unique bias rectangular shape. It is the perfect accessory for cool summer evenings or stylish beach days. Knitted in fingering weight yarn and featuring a theme pack from Emma’s yarn it’s sure to be your favorite travel companion both as a WIP and later as an FO.

Skill level: Beginner and above (knowledge of knit, purl, increases, and decreases required)

Materials: 
*1 Super Silky (fingering) Emma's Yarn Theme Pack and one full skein of a contrasting color of Super Silky
*US 5 or 6 needle 

All materials are extra, and the yarn must be purchased from Threadbender Yarn Shop. We have one Theme Pack in stock HERE (make sure you've selected Super Silky) and tons more on the way in late April. We will have more yarn available closer to the event, as well. Yarn winding stations will be set up at class time. We will also be able to wind online purchases before class day if you are not local.
